Diary, 1887 Aug.-1888 Aug.

Diary kept by Fetherston (Aug. 1887-Aug. 1888). Although he worked at the law office of Carter, Rollins & Ledyard and took art classes in night school, his entries are almost entirely about his social activities. He participated in many sports, especially sailing on the Hudson River and baseball. He also writes about theater, ships docked in New York, the dedication of the Statue of Liberty, the blizzard of 1888, camping in Charlottesburg and New Milford, New Jersey, the conviction of anarchists, and suicides. One clipping is pasted in and he made several sketches of his camping trip in his diary.
